Selected Independent Funeral Homes is an international association of independent and locally owned funeral homes, begun in 1917 as National Selected Morticians.

Our members operate under strict standards and strive to utilize best practices in serving families and individuals during their times of need. Guided by our Code of Good Practice and the benefit of shared knowledge, Selected members are professionals of the highest standards, providing families with confidence and trusted information. We monitor our members to ensure that consumers receive the best care available, and we encourage customer feedback to help our members improve.

Member firms are operated by trusted, local professionals, often from funeral-service families who have been helping people for multiple generations. They are determined to provide consumers with caring guidance, clear information, and a range of choices in creating a meaningful tribute after the death of a loved one.
