Continuing Education Credit

Selected Independent Funeral Homes seeks continuing education accreditation for many of its meetings from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and from states that have mandatory continuing education requirements. Available credit and reporting forms are shown in the table below.

Information about approved credit also is available to participants at each meeting. Forms are provided to record your credit and help facilitate communication of your meeting attendance to those groups interested in your participation in continuing education. The forms are not intended to replace those that may be required by your state board. State forms may be available at meetings, but it is the participant’s responsibility to communicate directly with his or her state.

* Selected Independent Funeral Homes has applied for 6.0 CEU’s for this meeting to all states listed above. Some states have approved a total different than the applied for 6.0 CEU’s. Some states have not responded. Please review the approval letter found in your state folder for more details. Regardless, it is each participant's responsibility to verify what is accepted by your state and to obtain proper signatures/verification for your records as well as complete any specific state required forms.

** Some states have approved sessions on an individual basis. Other states have approved the meetings in their entirety, and attendees must participate in all sessions to earn approved credit. Please review the approval letter found in your state folder at the meeting.
