Selected Independent Funeral Homes is proud to sponsor "Lest They Be Forgotten"—a series of powerful World War II documentaries by filmmaker Larry Cappetto. The films in this series are available for our member funeral homes to present during special veterans memorial programs in their local communities.

World War II veterans are dying at a rate of over 1,100 a day! With them, we are losing our history. Mr. Cappetto has had a life-long interest in military history and the heroic efforts of the brave veterans who have fought to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today. His documentaries provide first-hand accounts by soldiers who survived the D-Day invasion at Omaha Beach and the Battle of Iwo Jima. Audiences, young and old alike, find that these films bring history to life and provide very stirring testimonies to the struggle for freedom.

The "Lest They Be Forgotten" Veterans Memorial Program is another example of how the members of Selected Independent Funeral Homes are dedicated to honoring the lives of the families they serve.
