2022 NextGen Seminar Meeting Details

Continuing Education

Selected understands continuing education credit is a top priority for many members. We have sought accreditation for continuing education from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and states that have continuing education requirements. Since credit and session approvals vary by state, you can check your state's approval status on Selected's Continuing Education page.

NOTE: Selected does not make application to Canadian Provinces for continuing education credit. However, Selected can provide a letter verifying attendance at the meeting as well as the application submitted to the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice for individual use if desired.

As always, non-members are welcome to register and participate in continuing education sessions. We do, however, keep specific members-only sessions as noted in the agenda. Non-members can contact Amy Hunt for more information and to obtain the registration form for non-members desiring CE.

COVID-19 Protocols

Selected acknowledges that concerns for health, safety and other issues continue to affect participants. We pledge to maintain appropriate measures and follow recommended guidelines that foster a safe and healthy meeting environment. We expect and appreciate everyone to be mindful and respectful of others and their individual comfort levels.

In addition, the following are some of the key protocols Selected plans to implement onsite.

  • Selected will require all participants to sign and agree to the COVID-19 Waiver and Release form when picking up name badges/registration materials.
  • Selected will continue to work with The Confidante Miami Beach to do all we can to hold a safe event. For details on the hotel policies, review their Safety & Cleanliness Procedures at the Confidante Miami Beach.
  • Selected will follow guidelines established by the city of Miami Beach and state of Florida at the time of our meeting which may impact some of the protocols listed above. In addition, we will encourage following guidelines set by the CDC.
  • Selected will have a limited supply of hand sanitizer and masks available. Although masks are not a requirement in Florida, they are encouraged in meeting rooms and in areas where gatherings may occur.
  • Selected will have an ample supply of pens available to avoid sharing.
  • Selected will display signage reminding participants of effective precautions.
