As conversations continue around the proposed merger between Selected and NFDA, Selected leadership is committed to keeping members informed every step of the way. In the coming weeks, we'll be sharing answers to some of the most common questions we've received to help provide clarity and keep everyone up to date on the latest developments.

Can you explain the new combined membership and where Selected fits?

Beginning in 2028, firms will belong to a single unified NFDA membership.

Within that membership, eligible firms may earn and maintain the Selected Designation—a mark of distinction recognizing firms that meet the standards established for Selected. The designation is designed to preserve the unique identity, trusted peer community, high standards, and exclusive programming that have long defined Selected while providing access to the broader resources and advocacy of a unified organization.

The goal for creating this new Selected Designation is to follow the same requirements that independent firms must meet in order to gain membership in Selected. All current Selected Members will automatically earn the Selected Designation when it is launched in 2028.
